Dr Bernard Kenyon

KENYON Dr Bernard Passed away peacefully in Winchester Hospital on 23rd April, aged 93 years. He was a much loved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and is survived by his wife Marie-Therese and their three sons Julian, Stephen and Christopher. He came from a farming family near Lancaster and took his faith from his father, a lay Methodist Preacher. In WW2 he was a Dunkirk Veteran and after the war he returned to France to marry Marie-Therese. After studying medicine in Liverpool he became a popular family doctor in Burnley from 1956 until his retirement in 1990. He left Burnley in 1996 in order to be nearer to his family and was very happy in his retirement. -------------------- The Funeral Service will be held at Romsey Methodist Church on Wednesday 2nd May at 2.30 p.m. followed by cremation. Flowers, or donations if desired to the Romsey Methodist Church, may be sent to A H Cheater Funeral Directors, 122 The Hundred, Romsey, SO51 8BY.
