MEEK Sylvia Rosalind Malariologist and Humanitarian Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at The London Clinic on May 11th 2016 aged 61. A dearly loved sister of Caroline (Carrie) and Tom. Loved and adored auntie of Alastair, William and Emma and sister-in-law of Keith. Also much loved by Sophie, Emma and Rose. Sylvia will be greatly missed by her family, friends and colleagues at The Malaria Consortium (who she co-founded.) and Health Organisations throughout the world. ---------- Funeral Service at Romsey Abbey on Wednesday 1st June at 12 midday. A Memorial Service organised by the Malaria Consortium will follow later this year in London to celebrate Sylvia's life and her inspiring contribution to world health, fighting infectious diseases and Malaria in particular.
