A HAMPSHIRE-based company has put a top motorsport team in pole position in the web design stakes.

Web design agency FHOKE has built Triple Eight Racing’s new website in time for the 2015 British Touring Car Championships, which got under way this month and the team’s British GT exploits.

Lockerley-based FHOKE said Triple Eight Racing decided it was time to overhaul its brand ahead of the 2015 race season and it asked the company to completely redesign the well-known motorsports team’s website.

Co-founder of FHOKE, Ben Bush, said: “Having followed the British Touring Cars Championships for many years it was an exciting time to finally work with the most successful team on the circuit and to discuss a rebrand and design.

“To bring a team of that calibre up to date and to give them a brand they can really be proud of is a great feeling.

“The whole team looks forward to building on the initial success with Triple Eight and developing the brand further.”

FHOKE, which has four employees, will be adding more pages to Triple Eight’s website during the next few months and it has long-term plans to include live streaming from race weekends.

Triple Eight’s new website includes video content covering both BTCC and the GT race series and a new calendar feature and a race weekend media centre.

FHOKE says the upgraded site enables the Triple Eight Racing team to relay team news and information back to fans quickly.

Confident Triple Eight’s communications manager James Warnette, who asked for the new-look website to be built, said: “Globally top race teams are now offering more than just race car preparations to a driver.

“Marketing PR and eventbased activation is all part of the deal if required.

“We’re confident it will be received well but some sceptics will say ‘If it wasn’t broke don’t fix it’ but the standards of presentation in motorsport increase year on year, and you can’t present a sponsor with an outdated brand.

“This is not just about 2015, it’s about the next ten to 20 years too.”
