DINERS will be able to tuck into truly global menu when the largest restaurant at Southampton’s Watermark development opens its doors next month.

The 300-seater Cosmo will occupy a 10,000sqft portion of the eagerly-awaited new centre.

Cosmo has 17 outlets in major cities across the UK and Ireland, and Southampton’s will be one of the largest.

It is the latest eatery to announce it will open an outlet after the Daily Echo revealed last week that Thaikhun will open a restaurant in the centre.

Cosmo has invested £1m in massive eatery which will create more than 70 full and part-time jobs.

The family-friendly, all-you-can-eat restaurant has more than 150 freshly cooked dishes on the menu, ranging from authentic Italian and Asian dishes through to a traditional English roast with York- shire pudding, all at one set price.

Guests can watch their meals being prepared at live cooking stations.

Cosmo Southampton general manager Omar Iqbal, who has transferred from the company’s flagship restaurant in Glasgow, said: “Everybody at Cosmo is so excited to welcome our guests.

“We have a friendly, experienced team of chefs and front-of-house staff all ready to make sure our diners enjoy a fabulous experience with us – and come back time and time again.”

“There will be a Cosmo-politan range of delicious dishes on offer at our world-class world buffet that is sure to tantalise the taste buds.”

It is understood Cosmo will be among the first venues to open at the Watermark prior to an official launch of the £70m complex.

Founded in 2003, Cosmo rivals high-end buffet restaurants more commonly found in five-star hotels, which are popular in the Far East, and bills itself as a “banqueting chain”.
