A HAMPSHIRE outdoor equipment distributor has celebrated its 30th anniversary by relocating to a new warehouse and investing in its head office.

Gosport-based Rosker Ltd is a well-known name within the outdoor industry distributing climbing and camping equipment.

The company, now part of the global Fenix Outdoor group, is responsible for the UK and Irish sales and marketing of leading brands such as Fj?llr?ven, Hanwag and Primus.

Building on years of growth since its merger with Fenix, Rosker has moved its warehouse - but only a short distance.

The new warehouse is still in Quay Lane but is now beneath Rosker's office and showroom.

More than doubling the workspace available to its logistics team, the move allows Rosker to future-proof its operation as there is also the option of expanding the new warehouse and office as required.

Rosker currently employs 18 but the firm now has scope to increase that number.

The new workspace also includes additional spaces for improving after-sales and special project developments.

The new warehouse was opened by Rosker amabassador, mountaineer Alan Hinkes OBE – the first British mountaineer to have claimed all 14 mountains over 8,000 metres.

Managing director Ralph White, said: “After 40 years in the outdoor trade I’m still loving my job, and have frequently thought that it’s getting even more enjoyable with each passing day.

"Teaming up with Fenix has been the best move ever, and has allowed us to develop our potential in ways that wouldn’t have otherwise been possible. I’m extremely grateful to them for the opportunity and trust shown in allowing us to represent their brands, and hugely appreciative of the amazing effort and spirit of the entire Rosker team, our PR agencies, our UK gear ambassadors and shop trainer. “
