A CAR dealership is celebrating its success after it landed a prestigious customer service award.

Hendy Kia scooped the Kia Customer Experience Award after enjoying a “show-stopping” year.

David Hilbert, Kia Motors UK’s marketing director, personally visited Hendy Kia in Eastleigh to congratulate staff on the dealership’s performance in customer experience.

He said: “2016 was a show-stopping year and it wouldn’t have been as successful if it wasn’t for the hard work all of the dealers across the UK.

“As a brand we pride ourselves on not only achieving high sales, but also giving each and every one of our customers the care and support they need.

“We are extremely proud of dealerships that achieved excellent results in 2016, so congratulations to Hendy.”

Hendy Group commercial director Mark Busby added: “We had an excellent 2016 and we have some great products from the Kia range which the people of Hampshire just loved.
