ENTERPRISE M3 Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) is looking for high profile business leaders to help shape the economic future of the LEP area.

There are five places to fill - a new chair of the board and four private sector board members with passionate people engaged with the regional community and with a desire to create the conditions that encourage companies to grow asked to apply by 4 March 2018.

The new Chair will have vision and provide strategic leadership for Enterprise M3 LEP while board members are drawn from a range of sectors and bring commercial knowledge and experience to help shape the LEP’s policies and programmes. They play a key role in setting the economic vision and strategy for the LEP area.

The current chair, Dr Mike Short CBE, is stepping down after successfully being appointed to the position of chief scientific adviser to the Department for International Trade (DIT), a post within the civil service. He will stay on the board to support the new chair and to champion science and technology, a key focus for the LEP.

Dr Short said: “This is an exciting time to be joining Enterprise M3, with central government reinforcing its backing for LEPs and the growing economic strength of our area, driven by strong export-led sectors and world-leading digital enabling technologies.”
