A HUSBAND and wife-founded business is up bidding to secure a win at a regional awards.

Retail Bank Consulting Group (BCG), based in Herriard, has been shortlisted for the Family Business award for the 2018 IoD London and South Director of the Year Awards.

Retail-BCG was founded by husband and wife team Andrew Martin and Amanda King-Martin and has grown in its first years by focusing solely on customer requirements. It operates in the field of payment solutions and data analytics.

Andrew Martin, Retail-BCG’s chief executive officer, said he is very proud to be nominated for the award.

The finalists were chosen from the hundreds of directors that entered or were nominated across nine different categories.

The expert judging panel will now convene to decide the overall winners to be announced at the awards ceremony on Thursday, 14 June at 116 Pall Mall, the home of the Institute of Directors.

BBC news host Naga Munchetty, will host the ceremony alongside Roger Tilling, best known as The Voice of University Challenge.

The winners from each of the nine categories will be automatically entered into the UK finals of the IoD Director of the Year Award which will be held in October.
