IT was a night of pride and achievement.
More than forty students were celebrated for their success at Southampton City College’s annual awards evening.
Apprentices, staff and employers were also recognised for their commitment to learning at the awards in the college’s Aspire restaurant – with canapes prepared by the college’s hospitality students.
Four special awards were given to students for outstanding effort and commitment.

City College Principal, Sarah Stannard, said: “We are very proud of all our students and last night is proof that the region has many stars in the making, who have all gone the extra mile to succeed, through outstanding academic achievement, selfless acts of kindness and a steely determination to be the best.”
“Their hard work, with our support and guidance, has helped them to achieve their goals and given them a flying start to the rest of their lives.”
