STUDENTS and staff of Southampton University wore white for to support a cancer campaign.
The staff and students wore white T-shirts in the run-up to World Cancer Day on February 4.
During the day people wore their white T-shirts and were encouraged to donate £3 to support the campaign.
White is the colour of the body’s ‘hero’ blood cells that the university’s cancer immunology research is boosting in order to fight and eradicate cancer.
The university will also see its £25m Centre for Cancer Immunology open by the end of this year.
The centre will be the first in the country entirely dedicated to cancer immunology research.
