A SOUTH-WEST Indian performance is coming to the Winchester Discovery Centre at the end of this month.
On Saturday, September 28, the internationally renowned Kala Chethena Kathakali Company from Kerala will perform traditional artistic rituals. The welcoming ritual ‘Thala Poli’, a 2,000-year-old female dance called ‘Thirivathira Kala’, ‘Mohiniattam’ a centuries-old classical dance of Kerala people, and ‘Bharatha Natyama’, the oldest classical dance of India and songs of Kerala, will be presented in traditional dress.
Starting at 7.30pm, tickets cost £6 and can be purchased from the Winchester Discovery Centre box office.
