A DELICIOUS comedy oozing charm and sizzling with farce continues at Winchester’s Theatre Royal this week.
A riot of belly laughs and period costume, She Stoops to Conquer follows the tongue-tied and uptight Charles Marlow, who needs a lesson in the art of love.
He longs for a wife but finds it easier to have a ‘bit on the side’.
Set against the increasingly chaotic proceedings of one very long night, the play is filled with ludicrous misunderstandings, larger than life characters, outrageous frocks and wigs, and plenty of mischief and mayhem.
