Families can enjoy the sometimes hair-raising – but most definitely rib-tickling – Exbury Ghost Train, as it takes to the rails again this half term.

And if the Ghost Train experience leaves some ashen-faced, don’t worry, as some colour can be put in the cheeks with a brisk walk in the gardens where visitors can discover one of the leading displays of autumn colour in the country.

With skeletons, scarecrows (many supplied by local charities) and other ghoulish characters en route, Exbury dares you to ride and experience a Hallowe’en week ‘Phantomime’! The Ghost Train will enter a pitch-black tunnel and, provided it comes out the other end, will continue on its 1¼-mile journey with interesting stories, dreadful puns and even more terrible jokes. Your hosts for the groan-inducing trip are the spooky Napoleon Bone-aparte and his sidekick Batty the Vampire!

Children are encouraged to come in Hallowe’en fancy dress and will receive a free goody bag. The Exbury Ghost Train runs up to five times a day. First train departs at 10.45am and the final train leaves at 3pm.
