HAMPSHIRE college will creak open its doors this week for some creepy-crawly entertainment.

Now in its third year, Sparsholt College’s Hairy Scary Hallowe’en will see the Animal Centre transformed to provide haunted fun, including scaly reptile handling and crafts.

The centre will be full with more than 500 animals – look out for the Transylvanian naked neck chickens, and black felines in the cattery.

Families can get up close to stick insects, cockroaches, snakes and lizards.

There will also be pumpkin carving, making a witch’s or wizard’s hat and a selection of puzzles and quizzes.

It runs from October 30-31, from 10am until 4pm. Tickets cost £15 for a family (two adults, two children), £5 for adults, £3.50 for children aged three to 16, or free for under-threes.
