WINCHESTER Short Film Festival is in the next stage as the judges set about deciding on their favourites.

The competition has attracted 152 entries for the 10 award categories.

The 28 finalists will be screened on a continuous reel in the film room of the artcafe, in Jewry Street, from November 8-15.

Viewing times are 10am to 4pm weekdays, 6pm-9pm on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and 11am to 3om on Sunday, November 9.

Entry is £3, or free with a drinks purchase.

On Monday, November 10, the cafe is hosting An Audience with Peter Lydon.

The producer, writer, and director will be giving a talk on filmmaking from 7.30pm until 8.45pm.
