Father Christmas will be taking to the streets of Romsey and Chandler’s Ford in style this December, thanks to the Round Table.
The organisation is investing in a brand new Santa Sleigh which will travel across the area, collecting money for good causes.
Chairman of Romsey, Chandler’s Ford & District Round Table, Stuart Bailey, said: “The old sleigh had seen better days and we thought it was time to give Santa an upgrade. His new ride is almost ready; we’re just waiting for the electrical elves to add some sparkling lights and then we’re good to go.”
Last year, almost £2,500 was raised by door-to-door collections.
The Santa Sleigh will begin its travels in Campion Drive, Romsey on Friday (December 12) from 6pm. Weekdays Santa will be riding his sleigh from 6pm and weekends from 4.30pm onwards. Full details of Santa’s timetable can be found at facebook.com/RomseyRT.
