The Full Monty at The Mayflower, Southampton
A SOUTHAMPTON theatre has announced the cast for an adaptation of the iconic Full Monty.
The show is set to return to the Mayflower in November, and Dancing on Ice winner Gary Lucy,(EastEnders, Footballer’s Wives, Hollyoaks, The Bill) will lead the cast.
He is joined by Andrew Dunn, who is best known as Tony in dinnerladies, Louis Emerick (Brookside), Rupert Hill (Coronation Street), Martin Miller and Bobby Schofield.
Simon Beaufoy, Oscar-winning writer of the film, has gone all the way with this heartfelt and hilarious adaptation of the 1997 film that took the world by storm. It is his first work for theatre.
The Full Monty features songs by Tom Jones, Donna Summer and Hot Chocolate, and is directed by Jack Ryder (Calendar Girls tour).
The design is by Robert Jones, who recently worked on Much Ado About Nothing featuring Catherine Tate and David Tennant.
Further casting is yet to be announced.
