VILLAGERS are putting the finishing touches to King’s Somborne’s annual pantomime which will include characters from just about every panto there is.

Somborne Players' show, Once Upon a Time, features Snow White, Captain Hook and his pirates, Red Riding Hood and Alice in Wonderland.

Set in Pantoland it follows the attempts of wicked witch Evelyn to thwart a fairytale wedding.

Players’ spokesman Brian Orange said: “This year the pantomime is being directed by Kerry Natt and there is a very large cast so many pantomime characters feature and in all about 50 people are mentioned in the programme.”

The production opens at King’s Somborne Village Hall on Thursday (February 19) at 6pm.

Mr Orange said the first night will be a supper and panto double bill and tickets will cost £12.50. All proceeds will go to the Winchester Night Shelter for the homeless.

Two more shows follow on Friday and Saturday at 7.30pm. There will also be a matinee on the Saturday at 2pm. Tickets cost £5 per adult and £4 for under 16s. Under 16s tickets for the matinee cost only £3. Tickets are available from Cross Stores and Post Office and Martins Corner Stores in the village.
