Dame Judi Dench confirmed for Best of British Festival in Winchester

Dame Judi Dench will be visiting Winchester Guildhall on Saturday, June 9
DAME Judi Dench has confirmed that she is coming to Winchester this summer as part of the new Best of British Festival.
She had already agreed to be a patron of the event, which is due to run from Friday, May 25 to Tuesday, July 26.
The programme will now include an evening with Dame Judi Dench at Winchester Guildhall on Saturday, June 9 at 6pm.
She will be discussing her recent films with the artistic director of the festival and long-time friend, John Miller.
The actress’ work includes appearing as M in the James Bond movies. She has recently been filming the latest instalment in the classic series, Skyfall.
During the event at Winchester Guildhall, she will also be signing copies of her latest memoir, And Furthermore.
Winchester City Council head of tourism Ellen Simpson said, “We are absolutely delighted that Dame Judi has made space in her busy schedule to visit Winchester during our Best of British Festival – this reflects the very high calibre of the events in the programme.
“Demand for tickets is expected to be heavy, so we do recommend booking without delay.”
