Carrie Underwood has announced that she is pregnant with her first child.
The former American Idol winner and her husband, NHL player Mike Fisher, posted the baby announcement on their social media accounts.
Carrie tweeted a photo of herself with her two dogs Ace and Penny, wearing t-shirts that read "I'm going to be a BIG BROTHER" and "I'm going to be a BIG SISTER" and captioned it: " In honor of "Labor" Day, Ace & Penny would like to make an announcement. Their parents couldn't be happier..."
The singer's publicist confirmed the couple will be expecting their first child in the spring.
Carrie, 31, shot to fame after winning Idol and has gone on to win six Grammys and has sold more than 15 million albums worldwide.
She was the first woman to twice win the Academy of Country Music's entertainer of the year award.
