Wonder Woman may have found a new director, in the form of Patty Jenkins.
The Monster filmmaker is said to have closed a deal to take the reins on the superhero movie, following the departure of Michelle MacLaren, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Patty directed and wrote Monster, which won Charlize Theron an Oscar and Golden Globe for her performance as serial killer Aileen Wuornos. She has also directed episodes of TV shows such as Arrested Development, Entourage and The Killing.
She had been attached to sit in the director’s chair on Thor 2.
Fast And Furious actress Gal Gadot will star as Wonder Woman in the Warner Bros spin-off, which is set for a 2017 release.
Michelle revealed “creative differences” were behind her reasons for leaving the film, which the studio announced on April 13.
