Dancing on Ice winner Matthew Wolfenden has revealed he has been too busy to sort out his marriage following his triumph on the ITV1 show
Emmerdale's Matthew Wolfenden has revealed he has been too busy to sort out his marriage following his triumph on ITV1 show Dancing On Ice
He and soap co-star Charley Webb got engaged at Christmas 2009, but more than two years on they have still to set a date.
Matt told Hello! magazine: "We don't disagree about what we want to do for our wedding. But up 'til now, we haven't had a minute to plan it."
The actor - who won the ice-dancing show earlier this year - and his partner have also been busy bringing up their son, Buster, who was born little over three months after they became engaged.
Despite being an actress Charley said she will find it difficult being the centre of attention as a bride.
"The thought of having everyone focusing on me for the whole day fills me with dread," she said.
They may well skip the UK when they do eventually finalise their plans.
"We have thought about going abroad to get wed," said Matt.
He and Charley - who is the sister of Kym Marsh's fiance Jamie Lomas - live in a converted chapel, around an hour's drive from the Emmerdale set.
"Everyone calls it Dracula's Castle, as it's a big building with turrets," said Matt. "Everyone freaks out about it, but Charley and I find it so peaceful. The gravestones in our garden are laid flat now as they are so old. It is a very special place."
