URGENT talks are due to held today (Friday) in a bid to resolve serious drainage problems that have led to flooding in a Romsey suburb.
Bosses at the Abbotswood Consortium, currently building 800 homes at Abbotswood, north of the town, have been criticised for failing to deal with drainage on the site.
Residents in neary Cupernham have blamed the site for run-off which has swamped their gardens.
Today, Hampshire’s Romsey Extra division councillor, Roy Perry, is meeting Environment Agency officials, county highway chiefs and Test Valley Borough Council staff to discuss ways of stopping water cascading down the hill above the Cupernham Lane junction with Fishlake Meadows Road and into neighbouring properties.
