POLICE are hunting a vandal who left motorists with hefty repair bills after puncturing tyres on 18 cars in a Romsey suburb.

It is believed a “dart-type” implement was used to attack vehicles parked in driveways in and around Cavendish Close, at Woodley, between 8.45pm and 9.30pm on Monday.

Police say some vehicles had two or three tyres damaged.

It prompted officers to carry out a leaflet drop in an attempt to trace the vehicle owners and advise drivers to keep a close eye on parked cars and check tyres for defects before setting off on journeys.
