GREASE is the word at Romsey School this week.
Pupils are performing the original high school musical, made famous by the 1978 movie starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton John. With a cast of nearly 90 students on stage, it promises to outshine the runaway success of last year’s Hairspray.
The show is directed by Head of Creative Arts, Alison Clarke, who says: “The ability here at Romsey blows my mind and this year the dance involved has been taken to a new extreme and the pupils have excelled at every step.”
The invitation is out to all to “sit back, enjoy and feel free to sing along or have a boogie in your seats!”
After the success of last year’s show, the school have added an extra performance. Grease will run four nights, from Tuesday (February 5) to Friday.
The last night is already sold out, but, at the time of writing, tickets are available for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from the school box office.
