MORE pedestrian-friendly streets, without pavements, form a major part of highway chiefs’ blueprint for Romsey town centre.
The project, known as Romsey Future, includes a £475,000 scheme, jointly funded by Test Valley Borough and Hampshire County Councils, installing shared road surfaces in the Market Place, Bell Street and Church Street.
There are also plans to repair and upgrade the surface in Church Place.
