A WINE tasting evening for beginners will be held in a Winchester bar in aid of a disabled toddler next Thursday (May 9).
The Black Bottle wine bar in Bridge Street is hosting the event at 7.30pm to help three year old Harvey Young have a life-changing operation in America and take his first step.
Harvey was born six weeks premature and now suffers from a form of cerebral palsy known as spastic diplegia which prevents him from controlling the muscles in his legs.
His mum and dad, Natalie and Nick, from Titchfield Park need to raise £50,000 for him to travel to St Louis, Missouri, to undergo the operation to help him walk for the first time.
The wine tasting evening (£25 per person) will demonstrate a variety of wines. For further information contact the bar on 01962 621563 or email enquiries@theblackbottle.co.uk
