Romsey Round Table have thanked the community of Romsey and surrounding villages for their “amazing support” so far this festive season.

The Round Tablers’s Santa Float (right) and Mummers troop have already collected more than £2,750 and are aiming to reach £5,000 for their annual Christmas cash giveaway. The money raised will be shared out between local good causes – if you know of a deserving group, email Christmas@romsey roundtable.co.uk. There’s still time to catch the Round Table’s Santa float as it makes its last few stops. Today (Friday) it is in the Sandringham Close area of Chandler’s Ford, on Saturday it’s in Fishlake Meadows and on Sunday Whitnap.

Meanwhile the Mummers perform their traditional play tonight and Saturday from 8.15pm onwards in the White Horse at Ampfield, Keats, the Potters Heron, Purbani, and, time permitting, the Old House at Home.
