Romsey Abbey bells will be ringing for around three-and-a-half hours on Saturday as visiting ringers attempt a full peal of over 5,000 changes from 9.30am.
The ringers all belong to The Society of Royal Cumberland Youths, who are visiting Hampshire. Although the society is mainly London based, members enjoy two organised country meetings per year.
Shirley McGill, Master of SRCY, says: “We are delighted to be given the opportunity to ring on the superb bells at Romsey Abbey and will aim to produce some high-quality ringing”.
