Romsey Extra Parish Council has called an extraordinary planning meeting to discuss two major housing applications which also involve sports facilities.
Councillors will discous plans for 275 homes, plus sports pitches and a pavilion at Ganger Farm, submitted by Barratt and David Wilson Homes, and Foreman Homes’ scheme for 116 homes and a leisure centre on a site between Halterworth and Highwood Lanes.
The Foreman proposal comes just two years after a government planning inspector rejected an appeal by Glowfern Ltd to build 59 homes on land adjoining this site’s northern boundary, which is a green gap between North Baddesley and Romsey.
The meeting, which is open to the public, will be held on Thursday (June 5) in The Crampmoor Room at Woodley Village Hall, at 8pm.
