Additions could be made to a village war memorial after a project to track down information about servicemen who gave their lives during the two world wars The addition of two memorial stones to Copythornes War memorial will be discussed at a public meeting at the parish hall annexe next Tuesday (October 7) at 7.30pm.
There will also be an Avenue of Remembrance and and an exhibition at St Mary’s Chuch in Copythorne November 8-11 from 10am to 3pm each day.
Copythorne Parish History society is still keen to find any relatives of the war memorial men. A list can be found at copythornehistory.blogspot.co.uk.
