A MAN suffered head, neck and leg injuries when he was in collision with a car in Romsey yesterday afternoon (Thursday).
Police say the man, who lives in the Romsey area, was struck as he crossed the road at the junction of Palmerston Street and The Hundred at around 1.15pm.
Sergeant Daren Standen said the unnamed man who is believed to be in his 70s or 80s suffered non life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Sgt Standen said that the male car driver involved in the accident was breathalysed at the scene and the result was negative.
Sergeant Standen added: “People nearby said they heard a bang but didn’t see anything. We’d like to hear from anyone who saw what happened.”
