Staff from The Rapids swapped their uniforms and tracksuits for festive sweaters on Friday to support Save the Children’s Christmas jumper fundraiser.
The fitness teams sported woollies featuring everything from cool snowmen to red-nosed reindeer, and almost every cute Christmas character in between and raised £110 in the process.
“We got involved because we like to promote community spirit and raise money for charity. But, for me, it was educational too. I had no idea there were so many different Christmas jumpers out there,” said Valley Leisure chief executive, Kevin Paterson, who wore a navy jumper with reindeer trim.
“It’s a great initiative because it not only brings in charity money but spreads a little Christmas cheer too,” said Kevin.
