Finding the dress to impress at this summer’s weddings was made easy last week at a charity fashion show.

Designer dress agency Foxy Frocks and Romsey Art Gallery Rum’s Eg hosted the show to help raise money for community outreach art projects and made £400.

Compered and accompanied by singer Kim Garner, the evening included a rainbow of wedding guest outfits, head-turning mother of the bride ensembles and even a lookalike Vera Wang wedding dress.

Gallery manager Kat Hansford said: “This is part of our initiative to join forces with other local businesses to work together to maintain Romsey’s very special collection of retailers and in particular to make residents aware of all the offerings in Bell Street. It also provides additional fundraising opportunities to help expand our art education programme for all parts of our community.”

Amanda Brooks, owner of Foxy Frocks, said: “This has been a really inspiring collaborative effort, bringing new customers to both businesses, and we will be repeating the event with a unique Christmas evening.”
