DON’T lose your right to vote. That’s the message from the borough’s electoral chiefs.
Test Valley’s chief executive and electoral registration officer Roger Tetstall said: “Time is running out to make sure that you can take part in the elections on May 7. I would encourage everyone in Test Valley to take action now if you aren’t registered to vote. Our message is simple, you can’t vote if you haven’t registered by April 20. It’s easy to do and only takes a few minutes online at gov.uk/register-to-vote. If you are not sure whether you are registered, please double check.”
Postal votes should be applied for by April 21 and proxy votes by April 28 said the officer.
Anyone can check whether they are registered to vote by contacting the borough’s electoral services department on 01264 368000 or emailing elecreg@testvalley.gov.uk for more details.
