A WAVE of flytipping in Hampshire is continuing after a boat was apparently dumped in a country lane.
The vessel was spotted filled with rubbish bags in Hackleys Lane, Wellow, yesterday (May 1).
It comes after a five-tonne mountain of rubbish was left in Fawley, blocking off access to Sundial Cottage Residential Home and putting residents' "lives at risk", according to staff.
Penalties for fly-tipping can be severe with those found guilty at magistrates court faced with a maximum fine of £50,000 and 12 months imprisonment.
Those convicted for illegal deposit of waste at crown court could face a maximum of five years’ imprisonment or an unlimited fine.
