A HAMPSHIRE landmark will be hosting its first organ recital of the year when the director of music from Bath Abbey performs a concert on Friday (May 15).
Peter King will be playing on the newly refurbished 1958 Walker Organ at Romsey Abbey at 7.30pm.
He has worked extensively with the conductor of the Berlin Philharmonic, Sir Simon Rattle, and has performed across Europe.
Canon Tim Sledge, Vicar of Romsey said: “We are delighted to kick off the new season of organ recitals with Peter King and hope lots of people come and hear him play.
“Since it’s refurbishment, the organ sounds fantastic and the video team have worked incredibly hard to bring us the best possible experience of light and sound in this most wonderful venue.”
Admission is £5 on the door. For further details, visit www.romseyabbey.org.uk or contact 01794 513125.
