TOP operatic pop group, G4, look set to give their very last concert in a star-studded summer show on the Broadlands Estate, at Romsey.

G4, who shot to fame after taking second place in the 2004 X Factor show on television, recently announced that they would be splitting up.

But they had already agreed to appear in the Broadlands Classical Spectacular on Saturday, July 28, together with Ray Quinn, another X Factor runner-up, and operatic favourite, Russell Watson.

The spectacular at Broadlands is being organised by RBT events. Their spokesman, Dion Clements, said this week: "G4 had several commitments in place before they announced their split and they are honouring those commitments.

"Broadlands is the last one on the list and we're delighted they are still coming. It is quite a coup to get the three of them - G4, Russell Watson and Ray Quinn - all in the same place at the same time and it promises to be a great night."

Russell Watson, the multi-million-selling tenor, brought a capacity crowd to its feet at the Bournemouth International Centre in mid-March when he showed his stamina with encores which went on for almost an hour.

Meanwhile, Broadlands is also gearing up for other big nights. "One Big Saturday Concert", with the acts still to be finalised, has been pencilled in for Saturday, August 4.

And the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, which has given some great performances at Bnroadlands in the past, will be putting on a Carmina Burana concert on Friday, August 10 and a "Last Night of the Broadlands Proms" on the following night.
