THREE people were left hospitalised after serious head-on crash in Hampshire.
Police are now appealing for witnesses following the crash on Sunday evening which left a teenager and two people in their 80s injured, one of them seriously.
The smash happened on the A36 in West Wellow, near to the Ower roundabout, and involved a black Vauxhall Corsa and a silver Kia car.
South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) said that one of the cars was on fire but the driver managed to escape, while two other people in the other car were trapped and had to be freed by emergency services.
The 19-year-old male driver of the Vauxhall Corsa sustained a leg injury.
A man and woman in their 80s, who were in the Kia car, both sustained injuries. The woman is said to be a in a serious condition, according to the police.
All three were taken to Southampton General Hospital and SCAS says their injuries are non-life threatening.
Anyone who witnessed the collision has been asked to call the Totton Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting Operation Sharper.
