ONE of Romsey's most prestigious annual events is returning again this month with a host of new activities.

The Broadlands Country Show, set within the historic Broadlands estate, will boast everything from world-class field sports competitions and have-a-go opportunities, to family-inspired fun and entertainment.

Visitors can enjoy a superb line-up of activity this year, including equestrian film action with Europe’s number one stunt and trick riding team, the Devil’s Horsemen, the ancient art of Falconry with Ye Olde Redtail Falconry, Britain’s longest established and leading dog display team, the Essex Dog Display, as well as simulated coursing and insightful demonstrations from seasoned demonstrators Chris Green and Brian Brinded.

For those interested in all the championship action this 2017 season, Broadlands welcomes qualifying rounds in the Chudleys Gundog Championship; competitions at the Clay Shooting Festival; and a wide range of Terrier and Lurcher showing classes and field events, professionally organised by the coursing crew over in the Terrier and Lurcher area.

Away from the competitions, the Broadlands Country Show has lots going on for all ages. Visitors can enjoy the ever-popular Folk Roots Festival, a Food Festival and a brand new Field Sports Arena. Also new for this year includes a dedicated BASC Village housing everything to do with shooting and conservation, a British Hunting Collection, a Survival Camp and both Craft and Antiques Marquee, not to mention a whole host of family inspired entertainment.

From Animal displays, an Airsoft Range to a Mole Show, there is also a huge array of have-a-go fun, musical entertainment and demonstrations in every rural craft.

So whether you're a sportsman, or a family looking for a day out with the kids there is something for everyone to get involved at the Broadlands Country Show.
