AN ANDOVER opticians has come to the rescue of a sportsman with a pair of specialist glasses.
Specsavers decided to step up to the plate after football player Jack Weatheritt said he had trouble with his eyewear during games.
His glasses, not strong enough when playing competitive football, had broken on several occasions.
The Streets Ahead's adult football player was supplied with a prescription pair of sports goggles by the High Street branch.
Sue Simmonds, secretary, said: "Jack is delighted with his new goggles and we, at Streets Ahead, are extremely grateful to Leanne Newman, Andover Specsavers store manager, for providing the solution to this problem."
