MORE than 400 pieces of original artwork are to be unveiled at the Mountbatten Gallery from tomorrow.
On Saturday, the gallery will open to reveal the works by Romsey Art Group, who have been using the gallery since 1977.
It is used solely by the Romsey Art Group for its activities and they hold two major exhibitions each year, in both spring and autumn.
The current exhibition runs for two weeks, opening at 10am and closing at 5pm each day.
Jenny Morgan, who played a large part in organising the exhibition, said they have many new members’ work on show.
She said: “Our spring exhibition is even more spectacular than usual. We have a great many new members, all bringing a different style and new vision to the already diverse groups’ work.
“We have also surpassed ourselves with the number of 3D pieces of works available, 119 to be precise, the apse is positively stuffed to the rafters.
“With the wonderful ambience of the old Grade II listed chapel and our refreshments, it is possible to while away several hours.
“There are some facilities for the disabled, and ample room to park.
“The cost of entry is £1.”
The gallery had been refurbished by group members after being given by Lord Louis Mountbatten.
