POLICE are probing two incidents where residential gardens were broken into.

Between Sunday night and Monday morning, offenders entered the two properties in Lockerley, with entry made into the rear gardens and sheds.

Officers say that nothing appears to have been stolen, but they are appealing for information into the incidents.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting reference number 44180160244.

As well as asking for details, police have also issued a number of tips on keeping gardens safe during the summer months.

They include always locking sheds, covering windows to obscure contents, and to keep larger or more expensive items anchored to other points of the building, and keeping a log of items stored in outbuildings or sheds.
