AFTER snow forced the postponement of the original date, visitors from all ages descended on The Lantern Theatre at Mountbatten School to celebrate The Big Gig.

The entire event was to raise funds for Romsey food bank and offer support to the organisation in the town.

Acts included comedians, musicians and poetry readings.

With all of the profits going towards the food bank within the town, a variety of businesses had also been generous in donating raffle prizes to help with fundraising.

John Lewis vouchers, hampers and gifts from nine different Romsey shops, plus vouchers and tickets for hairdressing, Plaza Theatre and House of Comedy were all on offer.

Originally set to take place on March 2, the Beast from the East arrived to put a stop to the plans.

Two of the headline acts returned, which saw Spitdust take to the stage with local artists.

Another act saw Joshua Robertson help to raise profits and support the food bank.
