ALMOST £10,000 has been raised after hundreds came together in memory of a caring Romsey man who took his life.
As previously reported, Romsey Town Football Club was packed a fortnight ago, when 500 people took part in a football themed event in memory of Robin Abbott.
Organised by his daughter Keira-May, the family have said that more than £9,100 has been raised in total.
Keira, who attends Romsey School, said after the event: "It was all worth it. I just want people to know it's okay for them to come out and talk to people if they have a problem."
All of the proceeds of the day will go towards CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably), the charity that aims to lower male suicide.
