23 June 2016 - Photo Stuart Martin - Dentist Samantha Price presents MP Caroline Nokes with a petition about concerns for the former Brewery Site in Romsey that is due to be developed into flats.
SIR – Last year you reported that public funds were being used to encourage development.
A further £14,000 is now to be spent when the owners will only proceed when they so choose.
The site has remained a derelict eyesore for 30 years and Test Valley Borough Council (TVBC) appear to be impotent in compelling development.
Does the recent appeal offer a solution? TVBC could offer to withdraw its opposition in return for a legally binding obligation to complete the development within a time limit.
