NORMAN Court in West Tytherley has announced that it is to expand its outdoor education hub to include a survival school.

The survival school is part of an internationally renowned and approved centre dedicated to teaching bushcraft, survival and wilderness living skills and was established in 1997 by Johnny Crockett. As well as offering accredited courses, the school will be able to provide bookings for different age groups, business and other organisations, including schools and colleges.

The courses themselves will be run by Andy Froy, who is trained to carry out the courses for businesses and other organisations who want to take part.

Andy said: “In 2010 while attending basic military survival training within the Royal Marines I fell in love with the art of wilderness survival, which in turn led me into the fascinating world of bushcraft and wilderness living. I love nothing more than passing on my love of all things bushcraft and survival and I can’t wait to start the courses at Norman Court.”
