THIS year’s Romsey Festival of Youth Music came to a close last Friday after 22 events around Romsey.
The directors of the festival, Stu and Miriam Marchant, said they had experienced a tremendous reaction from those who visited the events.
The festival involved a number of school groups and local choirs and aimed to highlight the talent of youngsters in Romsey.
The directors said: “This year’s festival has involved more young people and there has been tremendous reaction and support from the people who attended the events.
“We would like to thank all of the young people who took part, everyone who attended the events for supporting these fantastic musicians and singers, the sponsors and volunteers including Viewfinders from providing some of the photos.”
Work has already started on the 2019 festival, which will take place again in the last week of June and first week of July.
There are more events also being planned, including a series of workshops leading to the festival.
