A WINCHESTER university student featured on a popular Facebook group last night after a mix-up sent her dinner order to her old address.

Psychology student Grace Matilda became last night's entertainment after posting onto Winchester Rants how her pizza from Eighty Eights, in Stockbridge Road, ended up on the kitchen counter of her previous home, with no one in to answer the door.

Grace, 23, from Milton Keynes, quickly realised that her old address in Wolfe Close, Stanmore, was saved to her Eighty Eights takeaway account when she sprinted over in hopes of retrieving it.

She said: "It was fully my fault, which is why I was so pleasantly surprised that the manager was so sweet about it. It was my old student address, which is why the moment I realised what I had done, I sprinted over as I knew where it was.

"My name is Grace and the person that lives there is called Reece, so the delivery guy knocked quickly and handed it over thinking they said the right name and because Reece is a carer, he left immediately, so I was knocking and banging the door but no one was in, which I thought was better because I thought they were ignoring me."

After stubbornly staying a whole 45-minutes before admitting defeat, Grace got a call from the takeaway. She said: "The manager of Eighty Eights called me and said 'I saw what happened on Facebook, do you want a replacement order, I'm really sorry!'

"Then the people with my original pizza called and asked if I wanted it back, so I said yes, then gave it to the neighbours as they have young children.

"In the end, I went from having no pizza to four!"

The post has racked up 400 likes and over 100 comments, with residents intrigued to know if she finally got her pizza.

She said: "I put it on Winchester Rants hoping the students in the house would see it, but then it became quite funny and turned it into a bit more of a joke, which made me feel a bit better about the situation."

Eighty Eights manager, Marcin Jablonski said: "I saw the post on Facebook and saw she was upset so offered her a new order for free to keep her happy.

"I delivered the order within 20 minutes. It's a normal human reaction from my side and it was important to make her happy because she was really upset."
