SIXTY cyclists got together to celebrate 40 years of a Winchester cycling club.

On Saturday, June 10, past and present members of Winchester CTC gathered at the Warren Centre in Micheldever Station to kickstart the anniversary celebrations for Winchester CTC, the district’s club for Cycling UK.

Among them were riders who cycled with the club back in 1983, including Martine Hebblethwaite (née Wilson), Stephen Harrison, Simon Green, Richard Wicks and Sue Coles.

Some of the members set off from Winchester to cycle to Micheldever Station on routes of different lengths. After which, the cyclists enjoyed a barbecue provided by Hursley High Class Butchers and a display of photographs taken on club rides over the past four decades.
